News

News can be the barrier of bad news about many different situations. Last night as I was watching the news I found out that a friend of mine died in a car crash. I wish I wouldn't have been able to see the pictures of his accident. I wish I could rewind time and stopped the accident but I can't. So Bryan you will be missed by many.

Holidays

I believe that every family has traditions when it comes to the holiday. For example my aunt always makes sticky buns on Thanksgiving and we always buy Christmas gifts for several children in local homeless shelters. But when traditions are broken it seems that the holiday wasn't normal and you could feel uncomfortable. So I was wondering what everyones favorite family holiday traditions are?

Your Toughest Critic

Going throughout this semester taking several design or art classes I have found that you are your toughest critic. I learned this by doing the different assignments that I was given. I then asked different peoples opinion and most of the time I got positive feedback after that I asked myself my own opinion. I decided I didn't like what I was looking at so I had to start over to get the final product that I wanted. I think that you should have an open mind with your own work and stop being your toughest critic.

Making Nothing Out Of Something

I was recently out taking pictures of different things along the bike path in Piqua, Ohio. I went to take a picture of the sun reflecting off the water and just assumed that the image would somewhat be over exposed but I didn't really care I just personally liked the shot. After reviewing my images from this photo shot I was astonished but what this image looked like. It's not what I was going for as a photographer but I am glad that it is what I got for a photo. The final photo looks like it was shot in black and white while it was shot in color. I am proud of making nothing out of something.

Social Issues

How do you capture a social issue in a picture? I have several ideas but I personally don't want to offend anyone in anyway. I got this specific photography project from my photography professor. I believe that this is an interesting project but I personally believe that it is difficult. I understand that I have rights as a photographer but I also know that there are certain situations that these rights are not accepted. I have many ideas that I could shoot but I don't want to offend anyone so my problem is, is how do you convey a social issue in a photo without offending anyone?
